FOOTBALL WAGGA WAGGA STRUCTURE 2012
OPTUS SMALL SIDED FOOTBALL.
FOR GIRLS & BOYS.
Children must turn 5 in 2012 to start playing football and play Under 6 for 2 seasons.
The Optus Small Sided Football program helps encourage many children that play the game to develop their skills whilst having fun and getting plenty of exercise.
PLEASE NOTE: Players can only be nominated in one team. A key requirement for each team in the Optus Small Sided Football formats is to play the correct number of players on the field i.e.
4 v 4, 7 v 7, 9 v 9.To this end, in accommodating player illness and absence, FFA recommends the following squad sizes be implemented when selecting players for teams.
- UNDER 6 & UNDER 7 – FORMAT 4 V 4 WITH MAXIMUM OF 3 SUBSTITUTES.
– NO GOAL KEEPER – GAME TIME 2 X 20 MIN HALVES.
FWW will allow a minimum of 6 players to nominate a team.
- UNDER 8 & UNDER 9 – FORMAT 7 V 7 WITH MAXIMUM OF 4 SUBSTITUTES.
– INCLUDING GOALKEEPER – GAME TIME 2 X 20 MIN HALVES.
FWW will allow a minimum of 9 players to nominate a team.
- UNDER 10 & UNDER 11 – FORMAT 9 V 9 WITH MAXIMUM OF 4 SUBSTITUTES.
– INCLUDING GOALKEEPER – GAME TIME 2 X 25 MIN HALVES.
FWW will allow a minimum of 11 players to nominate a team.
FWW will not accept any team nominations with more than the maximum number of players per team
i.e. U6/7s x 7 players, U8/9 x 11 players, U10 /11 x 13 players.
JUNIOR GIRLS COMPETITION
UNDER 12 GIRLS - GIRLS MUST TURN 11 OR 12 IN 2012 .
PLEASE NOTE: Players can only be nominated in one team
- FORMAT 11 V 11 WITH MAXIMUM OF 5 SUBSTITUTES.
GAME TIME 2 X 25 MIN HALVES.
FWW will allow a minimum of 11 players to nominate a team.
UNDER 14 GIRLS - GIRLS MUST TURN 13 OR 14 IN 2012 .
PLEASE NOTE: Players can only be nominated in one team
- FORMAT 11 V 11 WITH MAXIMUM OF 5 SUBSTITUTES.
GAME TIME 2 X 30 MIN HALVES.
FWW will allow a minimum of 11 players to nominate a team.
PLEASE NOTE: FWW will not accept any team nominations with more than the maximum number of players per team
i.e. U12G x 16 players, U14G x 16 players.
JUNIOR MIXED COMPETITION - UNDER 12 TO UNDER 14s
FOR GIRLS & BOYS.
Players need to be placed in correct age groups for their development.
PLEASE NOTE: Players can only be nominated in one team
UNDER 12
- FORMAT 11 V 11 WITH MAXIMUM OF 5 SUBSTITUTES.
GAME TIME 2 X 25 MIN HALVES.
FWW will allow a minimum of 13 players to nominate a team
UNDER 13 & 14
- FORMAT 11 V 11 WITH MAXIMUM OF 5 SUBSTITUTES.
GAME TIME 2 X 30 MIN HALVES.
FWW will allow a minimum of 13 players to nominate a team
PLEASE NOTE: FWW will not accept any team nominations with more than the maximum number of players per team i.e. 16.
SENIOR MALES COMPETITION
PLEASE NOTE: Players can only be nominated in one team.
Clubs must nominate a team in both Pascoe Cup & Gardiner Shield , Clubs with only 1 team must nominate team into the Nankivell Cup.
PASCOE CUP – FIRST GRADE
- FORMAT 11 V 11 WITH MAXIMUM OF 5 SUBSTITUTES.
GAME TIME 2 X 45 MIN HALVES.
FWW will allow a minimum of 13 players to nominate a team
PLEASE NOTE: FWW will accept team nominations with a maximum of 18 players per team
GARDINER SHIELD – SECOND GRADE
- FORMAT 11 V 11 WITH MAXIMUM OF 5 SUBSTITUTES.
GAME TIME 2 X 45 MIN HALVES.
FWW will allow a minimum of 13 players to nominate a team
PLEASE NOTE: FWW will accept team nominations with a maximum of 18 players per team
NANKIVELL CUP – THIRD GRADE
- FORMAT 11 V 11 WITH MAXIMUM OF 5 SUBSTITUTES.
GAME TIME 2 X 45 MIN HALVES.
FWW will allow a minimum of 13 players to nominate a team
PLEASE NOTE: FWW will accept team nominations with a maximum of 18 players per team
BLAKE TROPHY – UNDER 15,16,17s
- FORMAT 11 V 11 WITH MAXIMUM OF 5 SUBSTITUTES.
GAME TIME 2 X 40 MIN HALVES.
FWW will allow a minimum of 13 players to nominate a team
PLEASE NOTE: FWW will accept team nominations with a maximum of 18 players per team,
15 year old players can not play in the Pascoe Cup, Gardiner Shield or Nankivell Cup Competitions.
SENIOR FEMALES COMPETITION

LEONARD CUP – FIRST GRADE
